Hacksaw Studios AB is seeking a **2D Game Artist** to join its creative game team in central Stockholm. In this hands-on role, the artist creates graphical assets for games and produces reference materials for front-end developers implementing the designs. Additional duties include collaborating with animators, designers, and project managers, participating in game progress reviews, and staying updated on online gaming trends. This is an **on-site position in Stockholm**, and the employer cannot provide relocation assistance or visa sponsorship. Applicants are welcomed at both junior and senior levels. Candidates must present a **solid art portfolio** and demonstrate experience with the Adobe suite. Preferred qualifications include experience with After Effects, Spine, or similar animation tools. Prior experience in game development or social gaming, as well as a personal interest in games and the wider gaming industry, are considered advantageous.

The Role
As a 2D Artist at Hacksaw Studios, you’ll be part of the creative team bringing our games to life. This is a hands-on, creative role where you’ll work closely with developers, animators and project managers. This role is ideal for a passionate artist who values quality work, and strives to maintain a good balance of what’s best for the game.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Create graphical assets for our games
- Create reference material that front-end developers can use as a goal when implementing your designs
- Learn about the online gaming industry and stay up to date on current trends and what is popular with players
- Participate in game progress reviews and give feedback about the implementation process
- Co-operate with colleagues with similar roles
What We’re Looking For
You bring:
- A solid art portfolio that showcases your skills
- Experience with Adobe suite
- Preferably experience with After Effects, Spine or similar animation tool
Nice-to-have:
- Game development experience
- Social gaming experience
- An eagerness to evolve in game production and collaboration
- A personal interest in games and an understanding of the industry, or a desire to learn
