Tessero Sweden AB is seeking an **AI Engineer with Python** for a full-time contract assignment based in Göteborg with a client in the automotive industry. The position is slated to start around mid-October 2026 and run until an estimated 31 December 2026, with a very strong possibility of extension into a one-year engagement. Operating in a **hybrid model with three days per week on site**, the role focuses on developing agentic AI and AI products, combining platform and software engineering with a solid foundation in data science and microservices architecture. Applicants must have at least five years of hands-on software development experience with Python, alongside expertise in cloud engineering primarily on Azure. Mandatory competencies include working knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker, Podman, or Terraform, proficiency with CI/CD tools like Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions, and an understanding of machine learning, AI, and mathematical statistics. Fluent communication in English is required, while Swedish is considered a plus. **Deep experience with LLMs**, vehicle data, or delivering AI in regulated environments is advantageous, and candidates advancing in the process must undergo background checks.

Role Overview:
Our client in automotive industry is looking for an Agentic AI Engineer with a Data science Background (AI Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Software Engineer, who have experience working on AI products.)
Essential requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in software development with Python
- Expertise in cloud engineering and platforms, primarily Azure
- Proven background in containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Podman, Terraform)
- Demonstrated proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g. Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions), deployment strategies, and Git branching practices
- Solid understanding of data science, machine learning, AI, and mathematical statistics
- Working knowledge of microservices architecture and API development
Nice to have
- Master key aspects of data science, machine learning and AI, including mathematical statistics
- Deep experience with LLMs, including retrieval, prompt engineering, evaluation, safety, and cost performance tuning
- Experience delivering ML and AI in regulated environments with governance and audit requirements
- Domain experience with vehicle data, diagnostics, telematics, or quality and warranty analytics
- Leadership experience such as owning ML products end to end, mentoring, or leading practitioner communities
