Analyst
Klarna Bank AB · Stockholm · Tills vidare · Deadline 2026-11-12
Klarna Bank AB is looking for an **Analyst** to help teams translate data into operational decisions across areas such as checkout optimization, customer approvals, and marketing spend. The role focuses on starting from business questions, finding relevant data, and providing actionable recommendations. Daily responsibilities include writing SQL queries across large tables, building and maintaining BI dashboards, investigating unexpected metric shifts, and reporting data quality issues. Analysts also present actionable findings to product, risk, or business stakeholders and leverage **AI tools in daily analysis** to enhance workflows. Candidates need **1 to 3 years of experience** as an analyst or in a similar position, with a track record of informing business actions through data. Essential skills include regular use of SQL to extract, join, and clean data, hands-on experience building reports in tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, and the ability to communicate technical results clearly to non-data stakeholders. It is advantageous to hold a degree in a numerate field such as economics, statistics, engineering, or mathematics, or to possess experience with Python, R, A/B testing, AI-assisted workflows, or the payments, banking, and e-commerce sectors. Applications require a CV in English.
Klarna, briefly
At Klarna, we’re building an everyday finance network, helping over 120 million consumers across 26 countries save time and money, and worry less about their finances. Working here means taking on problems most companies never get to solve, and being hands-on enough that the interesting part of the work lands with you, not someone else — you’ll build with AI, not watch it happen.
This is the stretch zone. Come find out what you’re capable of.
About the position
Klarna’s teams make decisions every day about what to change in checkout, which customers to approve, and where to spend marketing budget. Each of those decisions needs someone who can say what the data shows and how far it can be trusted.
As an Analyst, you’ll be that person for the team you join. You’ll start from a business question, find the data that answers it, and bring back a result that someone can act on.
What you’ll do
- You’ll write SQL to answer questions from the teams you support, from a quick count to an analysis across several large tables.
- You’ll build and maintain dashboards and reports that teams use to track their own metrics.
- You’ll investigate when a metric moves unexpectedly and report the cause, not only the change.
- You’ll present findings to product, risk, or business stakeholders and recommend a specific next step.
- You’ll check data sources for errors and flag quality issues to the teams that own them.
- You’ll use AI tools in your analysis work and share what works with the people around you.
Who you are
- You’ve spent 1–3 years working as an analyst or in a similar position, turning data into answers that a team acted on.
- You write SQL regularly to pull, join, and clean data.
- You’ve built dashboards or reports in a BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- You explain a result, and its limits, in plain language to people who don’t work with data.
- You check your own numbers before sharing them, and you say so when the data can’t support a conclusion.
- You ask which decision an analysis is meant to inform before you start building it.
Awesome to have
- You’ve used Python or R for analysis that goes beyond what SQL covers.
- You’ve designed or analyzed A/B tests.
- You’ve used AI tools to speed up analysis work, and you can show an example.
- You’ve worked in payments, banking, or e-commerce.
- A degree in a numerate subject such as Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Please include a CV in English. Concrete beats comprehensive — what you built, what it did, what it cost.
