Netonyx AB is seeking an **Android Developer** on behalf of a client to develop and maintain customer-facing applications and features for **automotive infotainment systems**. The position focuses on delivering end-to-end user profile management and multi-user functionality within the infotainment platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating closely with product owners, designers, and other development teams, working in large and complex code repositories, building test automation, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines and team tooling. Candidates must have at least five years of software development experience with **strong Java and Kotlin** programming skills, alongside a basic understanding of C++ for navigating lower-level platform code. The role requires proven Android application development experience, a solid grasp of Android framework concepts such as user profiles, permissions, and lifecycles, and familiarity with Git and Linux environments. Test automation experience, primarily using Python, is also required. Prior exposure to Android Automotive OS or AOSP environments is preferred, while automotive infotainment domain experience, in-vehicle fault tracing, Android version upgrades, and a university degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field are considered strong advantages.

What we're looking for: An experienced Android developer who is passionate about creating customer-facing experiences in automotive infotainment systems. In this role, you will primarily develop and maintain Android applications and features used by our customers every day, focused on profile management and multi-user functionality.
You will work closely with product owners, designers and other development teams to deliver high-quality user experiences. A strong understanding of Android application development is essential. Experience with AOSP and Android Automotive OS is also important, as the team owns profile management and multi-user experiences end-to-end within the infotainment platform.
Required experience
- To be successful in this role, you should have:
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin, which are the primary languages used in our product development.
- Experience developing Android applications, preferably within Android Automotive OS or AOSP-based environments.
- Experience with test automation development and maintenance, primarily using Python.
- Good understanding of Android framework concepts, including user profiles, permissions, and application lifecycle.
- Familiarity with working in large and complex code repositories.
- Experience using modern development tools and workflows, including Git and Linux-based development environments.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and contributing to team-specific tooling and automation.
- Ability to drive improvements, propose new ideas, and take ownership of technical solutions.
- Basic understanding of C++ to navigate and understand lower-level platform code when needed.
Meritorious experience

- Experience from the automotive infotainment domain.
- Experience troubleshooting and fault tracing in vehicles.
