Academic Work is recruiting an **Audio & Acoustics Engineer** for an initial **consultancy assignment**, with strong opportunities for direct employment with the client. Working on advanced audio solutions for global consumer and industrial brands, the engineer combines hands-on laboratory measurements, software-based test automation, and cross-functional technical consulting. Daily duties include performing audio measurements with tools such as Head Acoustics ACQUA, Listen SoundCheck, or Audio Precision, designing and integrating audio components into hardware, and developing automated tests primarily using Python. The position also involves analyzing data, presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating closely with mechanics, electronics, radio, sales, and project management teams. Candidates must have professional experience in a similar audio engineering or acoustics role alongside a solid understanding of both analog and digital audio systems. Advanced knowledge of **audio measurement tools** (such as ACQUA, SoundCheck, or Audio Precision) and **good Python skills** for test automation are required. It is advantageous to have a basic understanding of C++, C#, or MATLAB, hands-on experience in DSP development, or knowledge of acoustic simulations using FEM, COMSOL, or lumped parameter models. The selection process includes both a personality test and a cognitive test.

Work tasks
The role involves a mix of hands-on laboratory measurements, software-based test automation, and technical consulting to deliver high-quality audio integrations for international clients.
- Perform hands-on audio measurements using tools like Head Acoustics ACQUA, Listen SoundCheck, or Audio Precision.
- Develop and automate audio tests primarily using Python.
- Analyze measurement data and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with mechanics, radio/antenna, and electronics teams in cross-functional projects.
- Support sales and project management teams with technical expertise and feasibility assessments.
- Design and integrate advanced audio components into diverse hardware projects.
We are looking for
- Advanced knowledge of audio measurement tools such as Head Acoustics ACQUA, Listen SoundCheck, or Audio Precision.
- Professional experience in a similar audio engineering or acoustics role.
- Good programming skills in Python for test automation.
- Strong understanding of both analog and digital audio systems.
It is meritorious if you have
