Academic Work is recruiting an **Audio & Acoustics Engineer** for a client project developing advanced audio solutions for international brands in consumer and industrial products. Starting as a **consultancy assignment with opportunities for direct employment** with the client, the position combines hands-on laboratory testing, software-driven test automation, and cross-functional technical consulting. Key responsibilities include conducting audio measurements, analyzing data, automating test setups primarily with Python, and integrating audio components alongside specialists in mechanics, radio/antenna, and electronics teams. Engineers also support sales and project management with technical feasibility assessments and present measurement findings to internal and external stakeholders. Applicants must have professional experience in a similar audio engineering or acoustics role, a solid grasp of both analog and digital audio systems, and **good programming skills in Python** for test automation. Advanced knowledge of audio measurement tools such as Head Acoustics ACQUA, Listen SoundCheck, or Audio Precision is required. Experience with acoustic simulations like FEM, COMSOL, or lumped parameter models, hands-on DSP development, or basic knowledge of C++, C#, or MATLAB is considered meritorious. Work tasks
The role involves a mix of hands-on laboratory measurements, software-based test automation, and technical consulting to deliver high-quality audio integrations for international clients.
- Perform hands-on audio measurements using tools like Head Acoustics ACQUA, Listen SoundCheck, or Audio Precision.
- Develop and automate audio tests primarily using Python.
- Analyze measurement data and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with mechanics, radio/antenna, and electronics teams in cross-functional projects.
- Support sales and project management teams with technical expertise and feasibility assessments.
- Design and integrate advanced audio components into diverse hardware projects.
We are looking for
