3S Consulting AB is seeking an **Automation Engineer** to work on a consultant assignment delivering complete processing equipment solutions. Based within a wider department of 30 automation specialists, the role sits in a cross-functional project team of around 10 people. The position centers on programming, testing, and commissioning systems aligned with process engineering requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing system analyses and designs, creating or updating HMI, database, and PLC programs, providing customer support and troubleshooting, and conducting automation training on systems and modules for customer personnel. Candidates must hold a bachelor's or master's degree in automation engineering and have demonstrated **PLC programming** competence. The role requires practical experience across the full development process—covering documentation, development, testing, and commissioning—as well as prior experience working in large companies. **Fluency in English**, both written and spoken, is required. Experience with Tetra Pak, Rockwell systems, or ePlan is considered meritorious.
For our client we are looking for an Automation Engineer.
An Automation Engineer consultant works with programming, testing and commissioning in order to create solutions adapted to different product types and customer needs. The focus is on automation engineering in alignment with process engineering to ensure the total functionality. The consultant performs analysis, system design and creates original or modifies existing HMI, database and PLC programs to meet project requirements. The work can also consist of ongoing customer support & troubleshooting and automation training for customer personnel on systems/modules.
About the team
You will belong to a organisation of 30 automation engineers and work in a project with around 10 persons with various skills. In this assignment you will be a part of a cross functional team that delivers complete processing equipment solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree within automation engineering.
- Experience from the development process from documentation, development, test and commissioning.
- PLC programming.
- Experience from big companies
- Fluency in spoken and written in English
