Working in a **hybrid model** on a full-time basis, the engineer joins a product-focused team responsible for building and maintaining core backend systems that power global connected platforms, networking systems, and smart device ecosystems. Key responsibilities include designing scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, contributing to architectural decisions, reviewing code, debugging production issues, and improving system observability alongside embedded, web, mobile, and product teams. Candidates must have at least five years of professional experience with **Node.js and TypeScript**, alongside a minimum of three years working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL. Applicants need prior experience developing software for connected devices, infrastructure, networking, or similarly complex systems, combined with expertise in Git, Unix/Linux, Docker environments, and web security concepts such as OWASP and OAuth. Strong written and spoken English, current Swedish residence, and a valid Swedish work permit are required. Experience with Rust, Go, gRPC, WebRTC, DevOps pipelines, or engineering AI tools is considered an asset, and the final recruitment stage includes a background check.

Your future tasks
ou will play an important role in designing and developing backend services that support large-scale connected systems and applications. The role involves close collaboration with several technical teams and offers the opportunity to influence both architecture and development processes.
Examples of responsibilities include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Developing secure, scalable, and maintainable APIs and workflows
- Contributing to architectural discussions and technical decisions
- Reviewing code and supporting high engineering standards and release quality
- Investigating production issues and implementing robust solutions
- Collaborating with teams within embedded, web, mobile, product, and design
- Improving reliability, observability, and developer experience across services
We are looking for someone who
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with Node.js and TypeScript
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience developing software for connected devices, infrastructure products, networking systems, or similar complex environments
- Good understanding of web security, including OWASP, OAuth, and browser security fundamentals
- Strong debugging skills and experience with defensive programming
- Professional experience with Git, Unix/Linux, and Docker-based environments
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Valid Swedish work permit and residence in Sweden at the time of application
