Omasta Consultancy AB is seeking a **Clay Modeller** to support automotive design projects across various development stages. The position is hands-on and **studio-based**, focusing on physical model development and translating design intent into high-quality 3D models for both vehicle exteriors and interiors. Daily responsibilities include developing and refining physical models, conducting 3D scanning, preparing armatures, and readying models and parts for milling, painting, and finishing. Modellers work closely alongside creative designers and studio specialists on projects ranging from early future vehicle concepts to production-related design work. Candidates must possess **professional experience in clay modelling** alongside good knowledge of modern automotive design studio techniques and experience working with physical automotive models. Applicants need a solid understanding of 3D scanning software and scanning workflows, as well as basic proficiency in Microsoft Office. Prior experience with on-plate milling is considered an advantage. The role also prioritises strong collaboration skills for working in multidisciplinary teams, alongside a structured, self-managing approach to studio tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Clay modelling for both exterior and interior automotive models
- Development and refinement of physical 3D models
- 3D scanning of physical models
- Preparation of model armatures
- Preparation of models and parts for milling
- Preparation of models and parts for paint and finishing
- Collaboration with designers and other studio specialists throughout the design development process
- Supporting existing and new projects at different stages of maturity
We are looking for someone with:
- Professional experience in clay modelling
- Good knowledge of modern automotive design studio techniques
- Experience working with physical automotive models
- Experience with on-plate milling is an advantage
- Experience with, and good understanding of, 3D scanning software and scanning workflows
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
