Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Skill Kompetenspartner AB · Trollhättan · Tills vidare · Deadline 2026-11-04

Autocom is recruiting a **Cloud Infrastructure Engineer** via Skill Kompetenspartner AB as part of an ongoing transition to move its vehicle diagnostics product portfolio to the cloud. Working within the Cloud Enablement Team, the engineer builds and maintains the shared underlying platform, networks, edge services, API gateways, and reusable modules that empower internal development teams. Key responsibilities center on developing scalable AWS infrastructure, automating environments using **Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)**, managing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, implementing self-service solutions, and handling platform security and monitoring. This hands-on position requires active software engineering, involving writing, testing, and operating production code rather than solely configuring off-the-shelf tools. Applicants must hold a **university degree in engineering, IT, computer science**, or a related field, alongside experience in larger cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Essential qualifications include software development and programming experience, familiarity with Linux, container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and a solid understanding of networking and cloud service communication. Candidates with fewer years of experience who possess a strong technical baseline and a drive to learn are also considered, while familiarity with Go, Java, or Kotlin is an advantage.

About the role

Autocom is undergoing a major technological transformation, with our entire product portfolio gradually moving to the cloud. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of our Cloud Enablement Team, responsible for the shared infrastructure and technical building blocks that enable our development teams to build, deploy and operate their services efficiently.

Our development teams are responsible for their own services and databases, while you and the Cloud Enablement Team provide the underlying platform, network and tools they need to work effectively. You will work with modern cloud technologies in AWS and play an important role in building the foundation for the next generation of our products, with a strong focus on security, scalability, automation and a great developer experience.

You will design, develop and maintain the services and tooling at the core of our platform, including edge services, API gateways and reusable modules used by other development teams. This role requires strong software engineering and programming skills: you will write, test, review and operate production code—not just configure or integrate existing IT tools. You will have hands-on responsibility for building and evolving reliable software components that support the platform.

The role includes:

You will also have the opportunity to influence the future direction of our cloud platform and work with technology supporting a broad product portfolio, including Windows, iOS and Android solutions, as well as hardware that communicates with the cloud.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with:

You don't need to have many years of experience to be successful in this role - we are also open to more junior profiles with a strong technical foundation, relevant experience and, most importantly, a genuine drive to learn and develop. You enjoy taking ownership, solving technical challenges and understanding how different parts of a technical platform fit together. You are curious about new technologies and motivated by the opportunity to help build something that is continuously evolving.
