Offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, this position is **remote from Sweden** with an immediate or pre-January start. The intern will manage Hex the Patriarchy’s social platforms and communications pipeline, which includes drafting, designing, and scheduling visual and video content, moderating the Discord server and Instagram, writing newsletters, helping plan events, and coordinating outreach with sponsors and partner organisations as initiatives expand from Stockholm to Gothenburg and beyond. This position is an unpaid **internship via the Swedish Public Employment Service** (Arbetsförmedlingen praktik), meaning compensation is not provided directly by the company. The working language of the organisation is English.

About the Role
We’re seeking a communications / social media intern to own the Hex the Patriarchy social channels. Hex the Patriarchy is a women/gender-diverse-driven movement in Sweden to create more inclusive spaces for women and gender-diverse groups in the video game industry.
So far, Hex the Patriarchy has hosted multiple events in Stockholm centered around showcasing womxn impact in the gaming industry, lifting one another up, playtesting games, etc. In the coming months Hex will expand to Gothenburg and hopefully other cities. We need someone to own the communications: Newsletters, Discord, Instagram as well as outreach and collaboration with sister organizations and sponsors.
This internship offers a balanced mix of content creation, community engagement, and mentorship, giving you a front-row seat to the marketing pipeline of a non-profit, you’ll gain real event planning and communication experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Draft, design, and schedule engaging video and visual content to showcase events alongside our team of organizers.
- Community Engagement: Assist in moderating and organizing our Discord server and Instagram, responding to community comments, and fostering an active community.
- Coordinating with sponsors, sister events in Gothenburg and other cities, helping plan event, etc.
