Rasulson Consulting AB is seeking a **Data Business Analyst** for a client to help build and scale an analytics solution integrating product, installed-base, and commercial data. Operating directly **between business and technical teams**, the role focuses on translating business rules and use cases into clear data requirements, mapping data attributes to source systems, and profiling data availability, completeness, accuracy, and reliability. Key responsibilities include identifying data gaps, coordinating corrections with stakeholders across Master Data Management and BI, validating data prior to BI implementation, and supporting sustainable data governance frameworks, definitions, and quality standards. Candidates must have several years of experience as a Data Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a comparable role translating business needs into data requirements. The position requires practical proficiency in **data profiling with SQL and Excel or Power Query**, experience with master and product data within PIM or MDM environments, a solid grasp of data governance principles, and fluency in English. Familiarity with STEP (Stibo Systems), Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI or recommendation models, domain experience in aftermarket or parts and accessories, and the ability to start at short notice are advantageous.
Data Business Analyst – Analytics Solution for Product, Installed-Base and Commercial Data
About the role
Our client is looking for a Data Business Analyst to help build and scale an analytics solution that brings together product, installed-base and commercial data. The role is hands-on and sits between the business and the technical data teams.
Responsibilities
- Turn business rules and use cases into clear data requirements
- Map required data attributes to their source systems
- Evaluate how available, complete, accurate and reliable the data is
- Identify data gaps and coordinate corrections and enrichment together with Business, Product Management, Master Data Management and Analytics/BI
- Validate data before it is implemented in BI
- Support sustainable data governance, including ownership, definitions and quality standards
- Deliver documented requirements, data mappings, gap assessments and prioritized improvement actions
Required skills and experience
- Several years of experience as a Data Business Analyst, Data Analyst or in a comparable role, converting business needs into data requirements
- Practical experience with data profiling and analysis using tools such as SQL and Excel/Power Query
- Experience with master data, product data and data quality in PIM/MDM environments
- Solid understanding of data governance, including ownership, definitions, quality rules and stewardship
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills across business and IT functions
- Excellent documentation skills and fluency in spoken and written English
Meritorious skills
- Experience with STEP (Stibo Systems)

- Background in the aftermarket or parts and accessories space, such as product compatibility, installed base or spare parts
