Nordnet Bank AB is seeking a **Data Scientist** to join its AI & Research (AIR) function, working embedded within a cross-functional full-stack team. In this hands-on, practical role, responsibilities cover the full development lifecycle, from exploration and experimentation to deploying and monitoring production AI pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. Core duties include collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and designers on architecture and implementation, driving solution quality through evaluations, metrics, and testing, and championing AI governance by ensuring compliance with the bank's regulatory framework. Applicants should hold a **university degree in data science**, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a similar field, alongside at least three years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or AI Engineer. Competence requires experience with LLMs, GenAI, and agentic AI, **Python skills for production code** and exploration, SQL proficiency, and familiarity with ML/AI in cloud environments. Experience with Google Cloud Platform, working embedded, presenting technical concepts, and an interest in finance are advantageous. Final candidates must undergo background, credit, and drug checks.

We're searching for a Data Scientist to join Nordnet's AIR (AI & Research) function, working embedded within one of our cross-functional teams. Your mission: Bring the best possible AI capabilities to life as robust solutions, both internally and for our customers.
The Setup
You'll be working in a full-stack team with different competencies and together tackle the full lifecycle—from exploring possibilities to deploying production features. Our technical foundation is Google Cloud Platform, where we've deployed internal and customer facing GenAI features. Now we're scaling what works and developing new capabilities.
This is not a theoretical role; you're a builder and problem-solver who thrives on iteration. You'll report to our Data Science Manager while working daily with developers, analysts and designers.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain production AI pipelines from experimentation through deployment and monitoring.
Collaborate with engineers throughout the development cycle—you'll work together on architecture and implementation in an iterative fashion.
Drive quality through evaluation, metrics, and testing of AI solutions.
Champion AI Governance - Ensure compliance with the bank's regulatory framework by clarifying AI concepts and risks
This is you

You likely have:
- Experience with LLMs, GenAI and agentic AI
- Python skills for both exploration and production code.
- SQL proficiency for data analysis and pipeline building.
- Knowledge of ML/AI evaluation, metrics, and best practices.
- Experience with ML/AI in cloud environments (GCP experience is a plus).

We think that you have 3+ years experience working as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer or AI Engineer with a University degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering or similar field.
