Univrses AB is seeking a **Deep Learning Engineer** to join its team based in Södermalm, Stockholm. The company develops 3D computer vision and machine learning technologies primarily focused on autonomous systems, self-driving vehicles, mobile robotics, and smart city applications. Working within an agile environment alongside scientists and fellow engineers, the position involves designing and implementing advanced computer vision algorithms and perception pipelines for self-driving vehicles and driver assistance systems. Day-to-day duties include model development, analysis, software testing, deployment configuration, and **embedded integration**, which can require writing C++ code. The position features flexible working hours. Applicants must hold a **master's degree or equivalent** in machine learning, computer science, or a related field. The role requires solid experience writing clean, production-ready Python code, a strong foundation in deep learning and computer vision, and hands-on experience developing, analyzing, and deploying models. Candidates need proven experience in deep learning model deployment optimization—such as integration, pruning, or quantization—as well as software testing across unit, integration, and smoke tests. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and agile development principles is essential, supported by excellent communication skills in English.

Your role
As our new Deep Learning Engineer, you will design and implement cutting-edge Computer Vision algorithms and pipelines for advanced perception systems. The work also includes deployment of such solutions, which includes tasks such as testing, deployment configuration and embedded integration, which can require writing C++ code. You will work in close collaboration with scientists and other engineers. Together with your team, you will develop technologies targeted for self-driving vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems that will have a major impact on how people live their lives. You will work in an agile team and collaborate closely with some of the best engineers and scientists in the field.
What you bring
- Solid experience with developing clean and production-ready code in Python.
- Experience with software testing (unit test, integration test, smoke test etc).
- A solid understanding of Deep Learning and Computer Vision.
- Experience in developing DL models, analyzing, and deploying them.
- Experience working with Agile software development principles.
- Experience in DL model deployment optimization (e.g., integration, pruning, quantization).
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflow
- Masters or equivalent in machine learning, computer science or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
