Academic Work is recruiting an **Electronics Engineer in Antenna Technology** for a consultancy assignment with a client in Lund, with strong potential for subsequent direct employment. Working in advanced development laboratories and anechoic chambers, the engineer will participate in cross-functional projects developing wireless products for consumer electronics, IoT, industrial applications, or the automotive sector. Core duties span the entire design lifecycle, including concept development, simulation, integrating antennas into compact hardware systems, and conducting RF and antenna measurements such as TRP, TIS, S-parameters, and radiation patterns. The role also involves troubleshooting performance issues, fine-tuning antenna systems, and documenting technical specifications and test results. Applicants must hold a **Bachelor’s or Master’s degree** in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Electronics Design, Telecommunications, or an equivalent field. The position requires demonstrated experience in **antenna design**, which can stem from professional industry practice or from demanding development, research, or thesis projects. Candidates must also have a good command of both written and spoken English. Prior experience integrating antennas into consumer electronics, IoT, automotive, or MedTech applications is considered an asset. The selection process includes personality and cognitive assessments.

About the role
As an Electronics Engineer – Antenna, you will play a key role in technically advanced development projects where the wireless products of the future are being developed. You will work on everything from concept development and simulation to practical measurements, verification, and optimization of antennas for products within consumer electronics, IoT, industrial applications, or automotive.

Work tasks
Your focus will cover the entire process, from simulation and design to practical measurements and verification of antennas.
- Design, simulate, and integrate antennas into compact electronics and wireless hardware systems.
- Perform RF and antenna measurements, such as TRP, TIS, S-parameters, and radiation patterns, in advanced laboratory environments and anechoic chambers.
- Identify and resolve performance issues and fine-tune antenna systems to maximize range and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate antennas into end products.
- Document technical specifications and test results.
We are looking for
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Electronics Design, Telecommunications, or an equivalent field.
- Demonstrated experience in antenna design. You may be an experienced engineer or a more junior candidate who has completed challenging and relevant antenna design projects, for example through a thesis, research project, or hands-on development project.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
It is a plus if you have
- Experience with antenna integration for IoT, consumer electronics, automotive, or MedTech.
