Nexer Telescope AB is seeking an **Embedded Software Developer** to work cross-functionally across software, hardware, and testing. The position involves developing efficient code for constrained systems with small memory footprints and low power requirements, as well as integrating and debugging sub-systems and peripherals using JTAG or similar tools. Core activities include applying **DevSecOps practices** such as threat modeling, continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated security testing, and collaborative quality assurance. Candidates must hold a **Bachelor’s or Master’s degree** in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field, alongside over ten years of embedded software development experience, ideally in IoT products. Essential technical competencies include C++ programming with RTOS systems such as FreeRTOS, as well as practical experience with embedded IoT networking protocols such as CoAP, MQTT, or REST, or V2X technologies. Hands-on experience with cellular technologies, Bluetooth, or BLE is a strong asset, while C programming, low-power design, IoT management, algorithm development, machine learning, and familiarity with the Atlassian suite serve as additional merits.

Essential skills and experience:
- Master/Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience, preferably within IoT products
- Hands on experience within embedded IoT networking protocols such as CoAP/MQTT/REST and/or V2X (DSRC or/and c-V2X)
- Experience of:
- C++ programming using RTOS (e.g Free RTOS) systems
- developing efficient code for systems with constrained systems e.g. small memory footprint, low power requirements etc.
- integration and debugging (JTAG or similar) of sub-systems and peripherals
- Hands on experience with Bluetooth/BLE, NB-IoT or LTE-M or other cellular technology is a strong plus
- Leveraging DevSecOps practices and techniques to ensure fast and quality assured content. This includes threat modeling, automated security testing, CI/CD, communication and collaboration.
