Alten Sverige Aktiebolag is hiring **Embedded Software Engineers** based in Gothenburg to work with telecom infrastructure, network components, and real-time software. Operating within cross-functional teams in an Agile setting, the role focuses on developing, testing, and optimizing software for **5G Baseband and RAN systems**. Daily responsibilities include real-time programming, low-latency processing, performance optimization, reading and implementing 3GPP specifications, and debugging complex software using tools like GDB, Wireshark, and log analysis utilities. Applicants must hold a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field, alongside at least four years of telecom software development experience. Strong programming skills in **C/C++**, familiarity with Linux, multithreading, and low-latency systems are essential, as is experience with Baseband, RAN, and 4G or 5G wireless communication. Candidates should also be familiar with telecom protocols including MAC (scheduler) and L1 standards, and possess fluent English skills in both speech and writing. Familiarity with AI-assisted software development, testing, debugging, and code generation is considered a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and optimize telecom software for 5G Baseband and RAN systems.
- Work with real-time programming, low-latency processing, and performance optimization.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex telecom software using GDB, Wireshark, and log analysis tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Read, analyze, and implement 3GPP specifications and coding standards.
Key Competences:
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in telecom software development.
- Experience with real-time systems, Baseband, and RAN software development.
- Knowledge and experience in 5G or 4G wireless communication.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ (required) and experience with Linux, multithreading, and low-latency systems.
- Familiarity with telecom protocols MAC (scheduler) & L1 standards
- AI-assisted software development, testing, debugging, and code generation would be a plus
- Ability to read, analyze, and implement technical documentation and coding standards.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
