Jobs Europe AB is seeking an **Enterprise Architect** on behalf of WorkNomads to guide large-scale digital transformation projects for manufacturing organizations. Working in cross-disciplinary and globally distributed project teams, the role involves defining enterprise architecture frameworks that integrate cloud, edge, IoT/IIoT, data analytics, and AI/ML ecosystems. Responsibilities span translating business strategy into technology roadmaps, maintaining governance, security, and compliance, aligning cross-functional architecture layers, and mentoring engineering teams. Engagements offer a **flexible work setup**, allowing candidates to work fully remotely from any EU country on a freelance/B2B contract, or locally from Sofia, Bulgaria under a direct employment contract. Candidates must have **over 10 years of experience in IT architecture roles**, demonstrated expertise in designing and integrating complex enterprise systems, and experience working in global, distributed environments. Required technical proficiencies include both Azure and GCP, alongside deep knowledge across cloud, edge computing, IoT/IIoT, data analytics, and AI/ML platforms. Applicants also need strong familiarity with security, privacy, and compliance frameworks such as ISO and GDPR, paired with excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities to influence decisions across organizational levels.

Your mission at WorkNomads:
- Lead large-scale digital transformation projects for manufacturing organizations, from vision to execution
- Define and implement enterprise architecture frameworks that connect cloud, edge, IoT/IIoT, data analytics, and AI/ML ecosystems
- Translate business strategy into actionable technology roadmaps aligned with scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Ensure architecture meets the highest standards for security, compliance, and governance across all layers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business, data, application, and infrastructure architectures
- Guide stakeholders through architecture decisions, balancing innovation with operational excellence
- Mentor and coach teams, fostering a culture of architecture discipline, innovation, and continuous improvement
Requirements
We want to hear from you if you have:
- 10+ years of experience in IT architecture roles
- Experience with Azure and GCP
- Deep expertise in cloud, edge computing, IoT/IIoT, data analytics, and AI/ML platform
- Strong knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance frameworks (ISO, GDPR, etc.)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; capable of influencing at all levels
- Experience working in global, distributed teams
- Strategic thinker with hands-on experience designing and integrating complex enterprise systems
