Prior packet core or telecom experience is not required. Familiarity with cloud and container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, real-time development, AI agents, Python, or networking protocols serves as a meritorious advantage.

What you will do

We are looking for Software Developers to join our cross-functional team and contribute to the development of world-class telecom products. This is an opportunity to work on software that makes a real difference while developing your skills in a high-impact and innovative environment. You will work with the design and development of fast, efficient, and well-structured software for the user plane in Ericsson’s packet core solutions. Our microservices are deployed in cloud environments, giving you hands-on experience with cloud technologies, containerized systems, and modern software tools such as Git and continuous integration pipelines.

Together with the team, you will contribute to the complete feature-development process—from initial studies and design to implementation, testing, and delivery. You will collaborate with colleagues to explore new technical solutions, challenge existing approaches, and develop features using modern technologies. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong interest in telecom solutions in general and packet core technologies in particular. Previous experience in telecom or packet core is not required, but you should be curious and motivated to learn more about this domain and build your career within it. We value curiosity, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to try new approaches. You will also have the opportunity to explore AI-driven software development and use AI tools to support your learning, problem-solving, and everyday development work. The main programming language is C, and all team members participate in the initial system testing of the team’s deliverables.
