Axis Communications is recruiting an **Export Control Advisor** to join its Trade Compliance team at its headquarters in Lund. Working specifically within the four-person Export Compliance group, the advisor acts as the primary contact for export control matters across global operations. Responsibilities include handling complex EU and US export control regulations, managing ECCN classifications for products and software, overseeing daily restricted party screening, and preparing and submitting export license applications. The role also involves collaborating with functions such as R&D, Legal, Sourcing, and Sales, developing global export control processes and IT tool requirements, training colleagues, and representing the company before customs and export control authorities. Applicants must have several years of **experience in export control and international trade** covering both EU and US legislation, alongside in-depth knowledge of ECCN classification, sanctions, embargoes, and screening. Hands-on experience with **ISP or BIS export licensing processes** in a global business setting is required, as is fluency in written and spoken English. Familiarity with ERP systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with continuous improvement methods are considered advantageous.

Four of us work on Export Compliance. We make sure Axis follows export control regulations worldwide and that our high-tech products don't reach restricted countries, parties or users. The rest of the team works on Customs Compliance, keeping imports and exports compliant and efficient while keeping customs costs down. Your focus will be Export Compliance. What you'll do as Export Control Advisor You'll protect Axis's ability to operate and grow globally. You'll handle complex EU and US export control legislation, embargoes and sanctions, and work closely with Legal, R&D, Sourcing, Order and Sales across regions. Your work will have an impact far beyond a single function.
- Be the primary point of contact for export control matters across Axis
- Own ECCN classification of products and software under EU and US legislation
- Handle export licensing: gather the information needed and submit license applications and determinations
- Run daily restricted party screening
- Improve how we work: develop global and regional export control processes, including defining business requirements for IT tool development
- Represent Axis in meetings with customs and export control authorities
- Share your knowledge by training colleagues across the company

- Several years' experience in export control and international trade, covering both EU and US legislation
- In-depth knowledge of ECCN classification of products and software, restricted party screening, embargoes and sanctions
- Experience working with ISP and/or BIS export license processes
- Experience from a global business environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cultures and regions
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
