Role Summary

Do you enjoy combining financial expertise with collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement? As a Financial Controller within Group Reporting, you will have the opportunity to influence both the quality of Scania Group reporting and the way our finance processes develop over time.

You will be a trusted partner to finance teams around the world, helping them deliver accurate, timely, and compliant reporting. During the financial close, you will review and consolidate submissions, analyse outcomes, and resolve reporting issues together with the business. Between closings, you will have room to look ahead: improving processes, strengthening controls, developing reporting structures, and exploring how AI and automation can improve finance processes, decision support, and ways of working. This is a role where precision matters, but where curiosity, initiative, and the ability to bring people together are just as important.

Job Responsibilities

· Review, validation, and consolidation of financial submissions from entities, ensuring accurate mappings, high data quality, and timely reporting in HFM.

· Guide reporting entities through month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, helping them interpret requirements and resolve issues in a practical and constructive way.

· Turn complex financial information into clear insights through analytical reviews, variance analysis, and quality-assurance activities.

· Share your expertise in IFRS, Group accounting policies, reporting instructions, financial models, and reporting systems through day-to-day support and training.

· Drive improvements that make reporting simpler, more efficient, and more robust, including the responsible use of AI and automation, documentation, standards, internal controls, reporting structures, and master data.

· Contribute to planning and forecast reporting, system governance, account mappings, change requests, finance transformation initiatives, and ad-hoc analysis.

Who You Are

You are someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and who enjoys making complicated topics easier for others to understand. You are analytical and attentive to detail, yet able to step back and see the bigger picture. Colleagues experience you as collaborative, dependable, and solution-oriented. You are comfortable taking ownership, asking the right questions, and turning identified issues into lasting improvements.

We believe you will bring:

· A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Several years of experience in financial controlling, Group reporting, consolidation, or audit, preferably in a large international organization.

· Solid knowledge of IFRS, consolidated financial statements, Group accounting policies, and financial closing processes.

· Hands-on experience with HFM or another consolidation or financial reporting system.

· Clear and confident communication skills in English, together with the ability to build trust across functions, cultures, and organizational levels.

· An AI-oriented and improvement-driven mindset, with curiosity about how AI can be applied responsibly to simplify finance processes, strengthen quality, and create better insights. Previous experience with AI, automation, or finance transformation is a strong advantage.
