Videberg Kraft AB is recruiting a **Financial Controller & Finance Manager** to play a central role in establishing the finance function for its nuclear power development operations in Sweden. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a **senior individual-contributor role** without direct reports that combines hands-on operational finance with building scalable systems, internal controls, and reporting routines from scratch. Responsibilities encompass company-wide accounting, monthly and annual closings, liquidity planning, statutory audits, and tax compliance, as well as collaborating with external accounting partners. The role also coordinates budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning alongside the Project Controller, creates executive dashboards and KPI frameworks, and assists in implementing ERP, BI, and invoicing tools. Candidates should have approximately **5–8 years of relevant finance experience** covering financial controlling, accounting, and financial reporting. Requirements include proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, strong Excel capabilities, experience with financial systems, coordinating audits, and delivering board-level presentations. Written and spoken fluency in both Swedish and English is required. Prior experience in infrastructure, energy, construction, or project-based organizations is advantageous, as is familiarity with Power BI, ERP implementations, process development, and start-up or scale-up working environments.

We are now looking for a Financial Controller & Finance Manager who wants to play a key role in building and developing our finance function together with the CFO.
Your role
As Financial Controller & Finance Manager, you will report directly to the CFO and take operational responsibility for Videberg Kraft’s company-wide finance processes, including accounting, closing, financial reporting, liquidity planning and financial governance.
You will coordinate company-wide budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning, incorporating project-level financial forecasts into the company’s overall financial outlook in close collaboration with the Project Controller.
This is a senior individual-contributor role without direct reports, combining hands-on financial responsibility with the opportunity to build scalable finance processes, systems and controls from the ground up.
Your focus areas
Financial Control and Reporting
- Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness and quality of financial reporting and accounting records.
- Coordinate statutory reporting, audits, tax reporting and compliance activities.
- Maintain and strengthen financial controls, governance processes and reporting routines.
- Act as the primary operational contact for external accounting and audit partners.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Coordinate company-wide budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning together with the CFO.
- Incorporate project-level financial forecasts into the company’s overall financial outlook in collaboration with the Project Controller.
- Monitor company-wide financial performance and develop management reporting and KPI frameworks.
- Prepare cash-flow and liquidity forecasts and perform scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Finance Development
- Build scalable finance processes, internal controls and ways of working together with the CFO.
- Participate in the implementation of tools (ERP, BI, invoicing systems).
- Ensure alignment between accounting, project reporting and company-wide financial reporting.
Management and Board Reporting
- Prepare and quality-assure financial reports and presentations for the CFO, management team, board and shareholders.
- Analyze company-wide financial trends, risks and variances.
- Develop executive-level financial dashboards and reporting structures.
Your qualifications
Required:
- Approximately 5–8 years of relevant finance experience, with a background spanning financial controlling, accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow and liquidity planning, and financial analysis.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems.
- Experience preparing financial reports and presentations for senior management and the board.
- Experience coordinating audits, statutory reporting, tax and compliance activities.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Preferred:
- A background in infrastructure, energy, construction, industrial, or project-based organizations.
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools.
- Experience in ERP implementations or finance transformation initiatives.
- Previous work in a start-up, scale-up, or growth environment.
- A track record of developing financial processes, and reporting frameworks.
