Rasulson Consulting AB · Stockholm · 6 månader – upp till 12 månader · Deadline 2026-10-31

Rasulson Consulting AB is recruiting a **frontend developer** for a consulting assignment with a client, serving as a **parental leave cover** within an established design systems team. Working alongside developers, designers, and UX writers or content designers, the role focuses on building, evolving, and documenting robust, reusable components using Lit and Web Components. Core responsibilities include ensuring high standards for usability, semantics, API design, and accessibility, as well as documenting guidelines and technical decisions to help other teams adopt and maintain the design system. The location and remote work arrangements are to be agreed upon with the client. Applicants must have at least **3–5 years of frontend development experience**, strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, and hands-on experience with Web Components, ideally using Lit. A background in component-based development—ideally with React—and experience contributing to component libraries or design systems are required, alongside foundational knowledge of WCAG accessibility principles, version control, CI/CD workflows, and clear technical documentation. Meriting qualifications include in-depth accessible component development, Web Component API design, integrating Web Components into React, practical experience with Storybook, automated UI testing, design tokens, and monorepo or npm package management.

Assignment Description

Our client is seeking a frontend developer for an assignment centered on building robust, reusable and well-documented components within a design system.

This role suits someone who cares about the finer details of component development — semantics, accessibility, API design, testability and documentation — and who enjoys working closely alongside design. You will join a small, focused team made up of developers, designers and UX writers/content designers.

You will work on implementing and evolving components using Lit and Web Components, ensuring high standards of accessibility, semantics, API design and usability. Part of the role involves documenting usage patterns, behaviors, guidelines and technical decisions, helping make components easy for other teams to understand, adopt and maintain.

You will collaborate closely with designers and UX writers/content designers, and contribute to improving the design system's workflows, component structure and internal communication. The role also includes supporting other teams on how to properly apply components and guidelines.

This is a temporary assignment covering parental leave within an existing design systems team, with an emphasis on maintaining continuity, quality and the ongoing development of current work.
