Amaris Consulting is looking for a **Full-stack Engineer** based in Gothenburg to join a client project in the automotive sector. Working on digital service information products, the role supports the complete service journey from content creation through to workshop usage and the customer servicing experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing backend services with Java and Spring Boot, exposing them via REST APIs and GraphQL Federation, and building event-driven services using Kafka. On the frontend, the work involves building React and TypeScript applications within a microfrontend architecture. Additional duties cover working with SQL and NoSQL databases, deploying services to **Kubernetes** using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, and monitoring systems using Grafana. Join Amaris Consulting as a Full-Stack Engineer in Gothenburg and contribute to a project for one of our clients in the automotive sector. You will work within a digital environment focused on service information products, supporting the full service flow from content creation to workshop usage and customer servicing experience.
Your missions
- Design and develop backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
- Expose services through REST APIs and GraphQL Federation.
- Build and operate event-driven services using Kafka.
- Develop React and TypeScript applications within a microfrontend architecture.
- Define clear boundaries between independently deployable frontend modules.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases according to project needs.
- Deploy services to Kubernetes using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Monitor, trace, and improve service behavior with Grafana.
Your profile
- Solid experience building backend services with Java and Spring Boot, with a deep understanding of microservices architecture and GraphQL Federation.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, including designing and running asynchronous services with Kafka.
- Experience building frontends with React and TypeScript, ideally within a microfrontend architecture.
- Experience defining boundaries, integrating independently deployable modules, and keeping the user experience consistent.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and the judgment to choose the right one for each problem.
- Strong testing mindset, from well-designed test cases to automated integration tests and quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
- Curiosity about AI-assisted engineering, with hands-on experience using generative AI tools or a strong interest in working in a spec-driven way.
- English fluent.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to turn conversations with users and stakeholders into well-defined, prioritized work.
- Ability to work with uncertainty, deliver in small steps, learn from feedback, and adapt when priorities or insights change.
