Techrytera AB is seeking a **Fullstack Software Developer** for a full-time consultancy assignment based in Stockholm. Running from January 2027 (or potentially starting in December) through January 2028, the role allows for **remote work 2 days a week**. The position entails developing, maintaining, and supporting an application landscape across the full lifecycle from development to production. Core responsibilities include managing automated flows and integrations, maintaining databases in MySQL and Postgres, troubleshooting operations, and exploring continuous improvements through automation and AI while maintaining system stability and security standards. Applicants should be senior or strong mid-level developers with **solid backend experience in PHP and Python** within production environments. Essential qualifications include expertise in designing and maintaining APIs, database logic, Git, modern CI/CD workflows, secure coding practices, and console-based Unix environments. Additional experience with JavaScript and frontend libraries like Node.js or Vue, as well as integrating AI models or deploying secure on-premises AI solutions, is advantageous.

Job Description
Background:
The team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting a broad application landscape that enables important business and operational processes. We are looking for a self-driven, curious, and prestige-free consultant with strong Python and PHP expertise who can quickly understand the existing systems, work independently, and take ownership of solutions from development through production.
The assignment includes driving improvements, collaborating openly with other teams across the company, sharing knowledge, and proactively resolving issues to ensure stable, secure, and reliable delivery.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:
We are looking for a senior or strong mid-level backend developer with solid PHP & Python expertise and proven experience working in production environments. The consultant should quickly understand and contribute to a large existing codebase, work independently, and take responsibility for stability, automation, and integrations. We value an open-minded and collaborative person who can act as a thought partner for new ideas and has a genuine interest in improving existing concepts through automation and the use of AI.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning and maintaining parts of the system, from development through production
- Troubleshooting, supporting operations, and monitoring automated flows and integrations
- Driving continuous improvements, exploring opportunities for automation and AI, and ensuring system stability
- Acting as a constructive sounding board for new ideas while following internal security practices and upholding high coding standards
Required Skills:
- Strong development skills in PHP and Python.
- Solid backend development experience with production systems.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs, integrations, and database logic.
- Good understanding of secure coding and modern development practices.
- Ability to work in accordance with established security routines and policies.
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows, including CI/CD.
- Comfortable working in console-based and Unix environments.
Preferred Skills:
- JavaScript and frontend libraries (e.g., Nodejs, Vue).
- Experience with secure AI deployments, preferably including on-premises models and environments.
- Experience working with AI models and integrating AI capabilities into applications, workflows, or automation solutions.
