Hitachi Energy Sweden AB is seeking a **Hardware Developer FPGA** to join a 20-person team developing solutions for the protection of power transmission networks and components. The position involves driving the development of new FPGA applications, maintaining and ensuring the long-term longevity of existing portfolio solutions in production, and leading FPGA methodology and innovation. Core responsibilities also include participating in team development and release planning, handling close supplier contacts for development packages, supporting in-depth root-cause analysis based on customer needs, and conducting hands-on lab troubleshooting. The employer offers **flexible working time** and assigns a mentor during onboarding. Candidates must hold a **Master’s degree in Electronics development** or another relevant area, accompanied by proven experience in FPGA development, integration, and simulation. The role also requires practical electronics problem-solving and hands-on laboratory experience, alongside **fluency in English**, both spoken and written. Strong self-motivation, communication skills, and a structured, agile approach to teamwork are essential for the position.

How you’ll make an impact
- Driving development of new innovative FPGA applications.
- Ensuring the long-term longevity of FPGA solutions currently in production.
- Adhering to customer needs and support in depth root-cause analysis.
- Lead innovation and develop FPGA methodology.
- Participate in team planning for development and releases.
- Ensure close supplier contacts for development packages.
Your background
- You have a Master’s degree within Electronics development or other relevant area.
- You have proven experience from FPGA development, integration and simulation.
- Electronics problem solving / analysis and hands on lab experience.
- Our ideal candidate is strong in self-motivation and communication.
- You are a team player, agile and well structured.
- Fluency in English is required, both spoken and in written.
