Head of Engineering
Frost Unmanned AB · Stenungsund · Tills vidare
Frost Unmanned is hiring a **Head of Engineering** to lead technical delivery across its platforms, reporting directly to the CEO. The role oversees the Tracer fixed-wing UAV, the Arrow USV, and its launcher system, taking products from design through testing to production. Responsibilities involve day-to-day management of the engineering team, setting technical requirements, tracking programme schedules and risks, managing external suppliers and consultants, and coordinating engineering input for demos, trials, and tenders. While remaining hands-on when necessary, the primary focus is **running the engineering function** and developing internal processes as the company expands. The start date is as soon as possible. Applicants must hold a **degree in mechanical, aerospace, marine, or similar engineering**, or possess equivalent experience. The role requires experience leading hardware development programmes, a proven record of guiding physical products to production, supplier management experience, and clear written and spoken English. Background in aerospace, defence, marine, or composites is preferred, and Swedish language skills are an advantage. Because the company operates under Swedish security protection and export control regulations, the position requires passing a security clearance assessment with register check (säkerhetsprövning med registerkontroll) and eligibility to work under export control restrictions.
The role Frost Unmanned is looking for a Head of Engineering to own technical delivery across our platforms. You will run the engineering function day to day, set technical priorities, and make sure designs reach test and production on schedule. You report to the CEO and work closely with business development, production and our external partners.

- Coordinate engineering input to customer demos, exercises, trials and tenders
- Own configuration control, documentation and engineering processes as the team grows
- Develop and support the engineers and technicians in the team
- Stay hands-on where it is needed, but your main job is to lead the function
