Sway Sourcing Sweden Aktiebolag is seeking an **IT Procurement Consultant / Software Asset Manager** for a consulting assignment running from 9 November 2026 until 30 April 2027. Based in either Solna (Stockholm) or Gothenburg, the role supports a major digital transformation programme focusing on strategic sourcing and procurement activities across IT and Operational Technology (OT). Key duties involve conducting category assessments and supplier market analyses, turning business, architectural, and security requirements into procurement plans, and managing end-to-end RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes. The consultant also develops commercial models and evaluation criteria, leads supplier shortlisting and negotiations, oversees onboarding, and provides procurement recommendations for steering committee decisions and budget planning. Applicants must have **at least 5 years of experience** as a procurement consultant with a strong focus on software sourcing within IT, or at least 5 years of experience as a software asset manager in large corporations. A **university or college degree** in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, finance, law, IT, or equivalent professional experience is required. Candidates need strong analytical, negotiation, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills, sound judgement regarding confidential commercial data, and the ability to submit their CV in English.

We are looking for an experienced IT Procurement Consultant or Software Asset Manager for an exciting consulting assignment focused on strategic IT sourcing, supplier management, and digital transformation.
In this role, you will play a key part in a major digital transformation programme, supporting strategic sourcing and procurement activities across IT and Operational Technology (OT).
You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT, architecture, information security, legal, and procurement teams to ensure effective sourcing strategies, well-informed supplier decisions, and sustainable commercial solutions.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with extensive experience in IT procurement or Software Asset Management who combines strong commercial awareness with analytical thinking and a results-oriented approach.
💼 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct IT/OT category assessments and supplier market analyses to identify relevant services, capabilities, and potential suppliers.
- Translate business, technical, architectural, security, and transition requirements into sourcing strategies and procurement plans.
- Prepare, coordinate, and manage RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes.
- Plan and monitor procurement milestones, dependencies, and key decisions.
- Develop supplier evaluation criteria, commercial models, and scoring frameworks.
- Coordinate supplier evaluations, shortlisting, clarification meetings, and negotiations.
- Support contract negotiations, supplier onboarding, mobilisation, and handover activities.
- Monitor supplier selection progress, timelines, commercial assumptions, risks, and decisions.
- Provide procurement-related insights and recommendations for budget discussions, reporting, and steering committee decisions.
- Ensure procurement activities align with governance, compliance, and programme objectives.

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Procurement Consultant with a strong focus on software sourcing within IT, or at least 5 years of experience as a Software Asset Manager in large corporations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to align commercial, technical, and business perspectives.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with experience managing complex procurement activities and decision-making processes.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and maintain progress in dynamic environments.
