Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is hiring an **IT Support Specialist** for a consulting assignment with a client in the automotive and manufacturing sector in Gothenburg. The position involves delivering **on-site IT support** within an industrial manufacturing setting to minimize downtime and maintain production operations. Daily duties include resolving incidents for workplace and production equipment, installing and configuring standard computers alongside industrial PCs and peripherals, supporting Windows-based environments and Microsoft 365, and addressing basic network and connectivity issues. The work also requires managing tickets, documenting solutions, and liaising with end users, central IT teams, and external vendors. Candidates must have prior experience in IT support, desktop support, or IT operations, combined with strong troubleshooting capabilities across hardware, software, and peripheral devices. **Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365** is required, as is experience with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID and basic networking concepts such as TCP/IP and Wi-Fi. Strong communication skills in English are mandatory, while Swedish is an advantage. Prior support experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools, and working knowledge of barcode scanners, RFID readers, and industrial PCs are considered advantageous.

🔧 About the Role
You will provide on-site IT support in an industrial manufacturing environment. The role involves troubleshooting, workplace device management, basic network support, and collaboration with central IT teams to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth production operations.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT support and resolve incidents affecting production and workplace IT.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, industrial PCs, and peripheral devices.
- Support Windows-based systems, user accounts, access permissions, and Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues.
- Manage incidents and service requests using an IT ticketing system.
- Collaborate with end users, central IT teams, and external vendors.
- Document solutions and contribute to continuous improvements in IT support processes.
✅ Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in IT support, desktop support, or IT operations.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP and Wi-Fi.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
