Legal Counsel

Coretura AB · Göteborg · Tills vidare · Deadline 2026-11-20

Coretura AB is recruiting a **Legal Counsel** based at Lindholmen in Gothenburg to become the second hire in its legal team. Working alongside the General Counsel as well as engineering, product, and commercial teams, the role operates directly within customer meetings, supplier negotiations, and product decisions. Core responsibilities include drafting and negotiating agreements with suppliers, partners, and customers, protecting intellectual property such as trademarks and trade secrets, and supporting board, investor, and owner matters. The position also focuses on **compliance across digital regulation**, including GDPR, the AI Act, the Cyber Resilience Act, the Data Act, export control, and competition law, while creating practical templates and legal guidance for internal teams. Applicants must hold a **Swedish law degree** and at least five years of experience gained at a law firm or in-house legal department, with a broad background in commercial contracts. Candidates should be interested in digital regulation or open source licensing, with prior experience in these areas considered ideal. Final hiring is contingent upon a negative drug and alcohol test and an approved background check conducted via 2Secure.

Who is liable when a truck's software updates overnight? What does the AI Act mean for a vehicle? Join Coretura's legal team and help answer questions few companies have faced yet.

At Coretura, these aren't theoretical questions. We're building the software platform for the next generation of trucks and how we answer them shapes how we do business. How should open source be licensed in a vehicle? Who carries the risk when a cyberattack hits a fleet? What does the Cyber Resilience Act require of a truck operating system?

We're now making the second hire in our legal team. This is not a role where legal reviews decisions after they're made. You'll be in the room for customer meetings, supplier negotiations and product decisions, and help shape how legal works in a company that is still being built.

About the position

You'll work directly with our General Counsel and closely with engineering, product and commercial teams. Your main areas:

A big part of the job is making legal easy to use: templates colleagues can work with on their own, and guidance that helps product teams build compliance in from the start. The role will develop as we do, so expect the focus to shift over time.

What we're looking for

You have a Swedish law degree and 5+ years of experience from a law firm or an in-house role, with a broad background in commercial contracts.

You're interested in digital regulation such as GDPR, the AI Act, the Data Act, the Cyber Resilience Act or open source licensing, and ideally you've worked with some of it. You don't need to know it all, but you're keen to learn quickly and turn it into advice people can use.

You're comfortable in a technical discussion as well as a commercial negotiation, or motivated to become so. Above all, you're pragmatic and have strong integrity.
