Incluso AB is seeking a **Mechanical Engineer** for a consultant assignment with a global company in Lund. The position starts as soon as possible on an initial five-month limited contract, with a possibility of extension, and requires **100% onsite** presence. Working in a small, dynamic team during the early development phase of a new machine, the engineer supports projects from concept through detailed design, assembly, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities include the mechanical design and dimensioning of mechanisms and mechatronic servo-controlled systems, performing kinematic and dynamic simulations in Creo, drafting technical specifications, and supporting test-rig purchasing and testing using a try-fast, fail-fast methodology. The role requires an experienced candidate with practical expertise in **mechanical design**, motion systems, and technical documentation. Applicants must have knowledge of injection moulding processes, tooling design, and mechatronic components such as servo motors, actuators, and sensors. The position also calls for the ability to perform basic simulations and calculations in Creo, though learning these on the job is acceptable. Fluency in English is the main language requirement and is sufficient.

Description
A Mechanical Engineer Consultant to support the development of equipment, processes, and products from concept and simulation through detailed design, manufacturing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
The team is in the early development phase of a new machine, using a try-fast, fail-fast approach. The role covers mechatronics, injection moulding parts, tooling design, and technical documentation. The person should be able to handle mechanical design, perform simple CREO simulations or calculations (or learn on the job), collaborate with simulation experts, and support test-rig purchasing, assembly, and testing. It’s a dynamic, hands-on environment, so I need someone experienced, energetic, and able to contribute quickly in a small team.
The role includes:
· Mechanical design and dimensioning of equipment, mechanisms, and motion systems.
· Kinematic and dynamic simulations in Creo, including forces, torque, speed, acceleration, and dynamic loads.
· Design and dimensioning of mechatronic and servo-controlled systems, including servo motors, actuators, transmissions, and sensors.
· Knowledge of injection moulding processes, mould/tooling design, and the interaction between product, tooling, process, and production equipment.
· Development of technical specifications, equipment layouts, and component selection.
· Support during testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
· English is the main language and is sufficient.
This is a full-time consultant position in Lund through Incluso. Start is ASAP, 5 months limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that. This role is 100% onsite in Lund.
