Telavox AB · Stockholm · Tills vidare
Telavox is hiring a **Network Engineer - Platform & Technical Enablement** to join its growing infrastructure team, based at either the company's headquarters in **Malmö or Stockholm**. The role focuses on designing, building, and operating core network infrastructure across data centers, distributed international edge PoPs, hybrid private cloud environments, and cloud-native integrations. Working alongside an autonomous, DevOps-oriented team, responsibilities include running Linux-based routing on standard servers alongside traditional platforms, ensuring high availability with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, and WireGuard/IPsec, and managing Kubernetes networking. The position also involves automating provisioning, monitoring, and configurations using Ansible, Python, and Bash, as well as supporting self-serve infrastructure APIs. Telavox provides flexible work options and adaptable hours. Applicants must possess extensive experience designing and operating **production-grade network environments**, supported by solid working knowledge of Linux and Linux networking. Essential requirements include proficiency with core routing and overlay protocols, infrastructure automation scripting, observability tools like NetBox, Prometheus, or Grafana, and network security practices covering segmentation and zero-trust principles. Desirable assets include experience with open-source Linux routing software, Juniper or equivalent carrier-grade hardware, on-prem Kubernetes and container workloads, or relevant professional certifications such as CCNP, JNCIE, or AWS credentials.
Join Telavox as a Network Engineer - Platform & Technical Enablement
Are you a network engineer with solid routing fundamentals who also feels at home in a Linux shell? At Telavox, our infrastructure team is growing, and we’re looking for a Network Engineer to help scale and secure the backbone of our global communication services.
More and more of our network runs on open source routing software on standard servers, managed as code, alongside traditional network gear. You’ll join a highly skilled, collaborative team that likes automation-first thinking and continuous learning. If you want hard problems with real impact and enjoy working across teams, this role is for you.
About the job
As a Network Engineer at Telavox, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and operating our core network infrastructure. That covers data center networking, edge PoPs, cloud native integrations, and infrastructure automation. You’ll work with experienced engineers who share a DevOps mindset and work with autonomy, quality, and speed.
Your day-to-day work may include:
- Designing and implementing scalable network solutions, both on-prem and across distributed global environments
- Building and operating Linux-based routing alongside our existing network platforms
- Automating configuration, monitoring, and provisioning with tools like Ansible, Python, and Bash
- Expanding and maintaining our international edge network of PoP sites
- Managing our hybrid infrastructure and private cloud, with Kubernetes networking at the core
- Supporting our infrastructure APIs so product teams can self-serve
- Ensuring high availability and performance with OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN and WireGuard/IPsec
- Collaborating across product and platform teams to turn complex requirements into practical, robust infrastructure
This role can be based in either our Malmö HQ or in our Stockholm office.
About you
You’re a systems thinker with deep networking expertise and a drive to simplify, automate, and scale. You’ve run production networks at scale and know Linux well enough to troubleshoot and build on it, whether you already route on Linux or want to go further in that direction. You’re structured in your approach but flexible in how you find solutions.
Key skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience designing and operating production-grade network environments
- Solid working knowledge of Linux and Linux networking
- Strong command of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), overlays (VXLAN, EVPN), and secure networking (WireGuard, IPsec)
- Comfortable with automation and scripting (Ansible, Python, Bash)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as NetBox, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Good understanding of network segmentation, zero trust principles, and security practices for critical infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset; you enjoy sharing knowledge across team boundaries
Good to have:
- Experience running routing or packet forwarding on Linux with open-source software
- Experience with Juniper or similar carrier-grade platforms
- Hands-on experience with hypervisor and container-based workloads, especially Kubernetes on-prem
- Network or cloud certifications (JNCIE, CCNP, AWS, etc.)
