Randstad Life Sciences is hiring a **Pharmaceutical Scientist** (Senior Scientist or Associate Principal Scientist level) for a full-time consultancy assignment at AstraZeneca in Södertälje. Employed by Randstad, the consultant will work on-site at AstraZeneca Gärtuna within the Technical Operations, Science and Innovation team on an assignment running until May 31, 2027. The role is office-based and centers on supporting changes and resolving issues for commercial oral solid drug products. Core tasks include analyzing finished product analytical results and process data across internal and external manufacturing sites, providing technical input to regulatory teams for health authority inquiries, and facilitating technical risk assessments. Candidates must hold a **BSc or MSc in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering**, or a related discipline with relevant skills. Applicants need a proven pharmaceutical industry background alongside solid, practical experience in a **Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)** environment, with experience in tablet or capsule formulations within a technical or quality function considered preferable. Excellent written and spoken English is essential, while Swedish is an optional advantage. Selected candidates must undergo a standard background check and an alcohol and drug screening.

Please note: This position is a full-time consultancy assignment where you will be employed by Randstad Life Sciences and work on-site as a consultant at AstraZeneca.

The Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will support changes and issues for commercial oral solid drug products. You will collaborate closely with site technical teams and TOSI colleagues to resolve issues, drive improvements, and assess technical changes. The role is office-based.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing outputs such as finished product analytical results and process information across multiple manufacturing sites (both internal and external to AstraZeneca).
- Supporting the regulatory department with technical input to respond to health authority inquiries.
- Facilitating technical risk assessments.
Key Requirements
- Education: BSc or MSc in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline with relevant skills.
- Industry Experience: Proven background in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably working with tablet/capsule formulations within a technical or quality function.
- GMP Standards: Solid understanding and practical experience working within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
- Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English is essential (Swedish is a plus, but not mandatory).
