Working within a project environment delivering HVDC converter station projects, the position focuses on developing plant circuit and cable engineering designs. Responsibilities include translating customer specifications and contract requirements into compliant technical deliverables, reviewing documentation from suppliers, applying established engineering standards, and resolving design deviations and technical risks. The role collaborates closely with project managers, technical specialists, and external partners from initial design through project execution, while also contributing to the continuous improvement of internal design methods and tools. How you’ll make an impact
- Develop plant circuit and cable engineering designs for HVDC converter station projects.
- Translate customer specifications and contractual requirements into compliant engineering deliverables.
- Review and validate technical documentation from suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure technical and contractual compliance.
- Apply established design principles, engineering standards, and available base solutions to meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and technical specialists throughout project execution.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, risks, and design deviations that may impact project delivery.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methods, tools, and design documentation.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial, computer science) or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in a technical engineering role, preferably within a project-based environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and professional proficiency in English.
- A structured and proactive approach with a focus on quality, accuracy, and delivery.
- Experience from the energy sector, power systems, HVDC, or other related industries is highly valued.
