Logikfabriken AB is seeking a **Platform Engineer, OpenShift / Kubernetes** to join its consulting team. Working alongside colleagues on client assignments at companies such as Volvo, IKEA, and Länsförsäkringar, the role focuses on building, modernizing, and running developer platforms. Responsibilities span establishing software factories from scratch, consolidating scattered toolchains, integrating security from commit through production, and running platforms in production across cloud and on-premises environments. Assignments are **always delivered in teams**, combining architecture design with hands-on technical troubleshooting and peer mentorship. Applicants should have **a few years of experience** in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering, with a focus on what has been built and operated in production rather than a specific number of years. Candidates are expected to have practical competence in a few core areas or their equivalents, such as Kubernetes or OpenShift, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or Tekton), pipeline security and IAM, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible, and production platform operations. Familiarity with on-premise or air-gapped systems, toolchain migrations, Artifactory, Nexus, SonarQube, Python, Go, or Backstage is considered advantageous.
We're looking for a platform engineer who loves building the foundation developers work on every day. Kubernetes, CI/CD, security and everything in between. Sometimes in the cloud, often on-prem. You've built and run platforms in production, not just drawn them on a whiteboard. You like using AI tools in your daily work to work faster and smarter.
You definitely don't need to tick every box below. We're looking for someone with experience from a few of these areas, or something similar, and a curiosity to learn the rest. If you're unsure whether you're a match, apply anyway. We'd rather have the conversation.
WHO ARE YOU? You're a social person who thrives in a team and enjoys collaborating. You like taking responsibility, can lead and structure the work, and help the team stay on course. You're comfortable both shaping the architecture and getting your hands dirty when something needs fixing in production.
TECH AND SKILLS We think you have experience with a few of these, or something similar:
- Kubernetes or OpenShift
- A cloud platform like AWS, Azure or GCP
- CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD or Tekton
- Building security into pipelines, secrets management or IAM
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible or similar
- Running platform services in production
NICE TO HAVE Bonus if you've come across any of these, but nothing we expect:
- On-prem or air-gapped environments
- Migrating toolchains, for example from Atlassian to GitLab
- Artifactory, Nexus or SonarQube
- Python or Go
- Backstage or Red Hat Developer Hub
THE ASSIGNMENTS We're a Red Hat partner specialized in developer platforms, and we've helped build platforms at companies like Volvo, IKEA and Länsförsäkringar. You'll work in teams at our clients, helping them build, modernize and run their developer platform. It could be setting up a software factory from scratch, consolidating a scattered toolchain into something maintainable, building security into every step from commit to production, or adding a developer portal on top so teams actually find and use what's there. We always go into assignments as a team, never alone, so you'll both mentor and be mentored.
EXPERIENCE A few years of working with infrastructure, DevOps or platform engineering. What you've built matters more to us than the exact number of years.
