Process Engineer

Supernormal Greens AB (publ) · Tibro · Tills vidare

Supernormal Greens AB (publ) is recruiting a **Process Engineer** to join its vertical farming and production facility in Tibro. This is a full-time, permanent position with an initial probationary period, working normally between 07:00 and 16:00. The post is **primarily on-site** with some remote flexibility when tasks permit, though some supplier travel and busier periods during commissioning may occur. Working across production, maintenance, quality, and R&D, the engineer will optimize the post-harvest process—encompassing washing, cryogenic freezing, freeze-drying, milling, and packing. Core duties involve planning trials, troubleshooting alongside operators, supporting factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT), commissioning equipment, establishing operating instructions, and assisting with preventive maintenance. Applicants must hold a **relevant engineering degree or equivalent** competence gained through experience, alongside a few years of technical experience close to industrial production. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to use data and trials to investigate problems, solve issues, and deliver improvements. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required, while proficiency in Swedish is considered an advantage. Prior background in freezing, freeze-drying, milling, or packing within food or process manufacturing is desirable, as is experience with equipment ramp-up, supplier collaboration, root cause analysis, or maintenance development.

Why this role

Want to build and improve an industrial process, hands-on? At Supernormal Greens, we’re building the journey from harvested plants to finished botanical ingredients. Now we’re looking for an engineer who wants to understand that process inside out and make it work better.

Our post-harvest process covers washing, cryogenic freezing, frozen storage, freeze-drying, milling and packing. You’ll join while we’re developing and commissioning it, with plenty to test, understand and improve.

Your job is easy to describe: help the process deliver more, with the right quality and a stable operation. You’ll work closely with production, maintenance, quality and R&D, and have a real say in the equipment and ways of working.

What you will do

Post-harvest is your main focus. You’ll also work with our Cultivation Technology Specialist and occasionally help with other technical projects.

Priorities are agreed with your manager.

What you will bring (must-haves)

He joined us in November 2025, bringing experience in process improvement and factory development from Tetra Pak and across industries by consulting at EFESO Nordics. Together, you’ll agree priorities and follow up on progress.
