VAROPreem Sverige AB is hiring a **Procurement Development Manager** to lead a multi-year procurement transformation across its international operations. Can be based in **Stockholm, Gothenburg, Baar, or Cressier**, the role oversees the procurement development roadmap and drives functional excellence in processes, governance, digitalization, capability building, and supplier management. Core responsibilities include standardizing Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and frameworks across entities, establishing data standards and KPI reporting, developing the strategy for procurement technology platforms, driving change management across departments, and leading a diverse international team. Applicants need extensive experience in procurement, functional excellence, organizational development, or transformation, alongside proven leadership in **large-scale international transformation programs**. Strong practical expertise in S2P process design, procurement technology implementation, change management, and collaboration with executive stakeholders is required. Candidates must be fluent in English. Experience within asset-intensive or regulated sectors—such as energy, refining, chemicals, manufacturing, or infrastructure—is highly desirable, as are French or Swedish language skills. Final employment requires passing pre-employment background screening, alcohol and drug tests, identity verification, and potentially a formal security clearance under the Swedish Security Protection Act.

About the Role
As Procurement Development Manager, you will own and deliver the Procurement Development roadmap, leading a multi-year transformation agenda across our global organization. You will work closely with senior leaders and business stakeholders to establish world-class procurement practices, strengthen organizational capabilities, and ensure procurement is recognized as a strategic business partner.

You will be responsible for driving procurement excellence across processes, governance, digitalization, capability building, ESG, and supplier management while influencing stakeholders across multiple countries, cultures, and business functions.
The position can be based in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Baar or Cressier depending on preferred location.
Key responsibilities
- Standardize and continuously improve Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and governance across the organization.
- Design and implement best-practice procurement policies, frameworks, and playbooks that can be applied across countries, legal entities, and categories.
- Develop and maintain procurement tools strategy, including solutions such as eSourcing, Contract Lifecycle Management, supplier portals, and analytics platforms.
- Establish common procurement data standards, KPI frameworks, and performance reporting structures to enable global transparency and comparability.
- Drive change management and adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working across Procurement, Finance, Operations, and the wider business.
- Lead and inspire a highly diverse and international team, creating a culture of growth, collaboration, courage, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
We believe you bring:
- Extensive experience within procurement, procurement development, organizational development, transformation, or functional excellence.
- Proven success leading large-scale, multi-year transformation programs across international organizations.
- Strong Source-to-Pay (S2P) expertise with practical experience in process design, optimization, and implementation.
- Excellent change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- A commercial mindset and the ability to identify opportunities that create business value.
- Experience from energy, oil & gas, refining, chemicals, manufacturing, infrastructure or other regulated and asset- intensive industries is highly desirable.
- Experience implementing or optimizing procurement technology platforms and digital procurement solutions.
- Fluent in English
- French and Swedish language skills are considered an advantage.
