NFA Forestry Automation AB is looking for a **Product Lead - Application and Infrastructure** to guide an autonomous, cross-functional software team. The position focuses on delivering high-quality user experiences for both forestry harvester machine operators and users of the company's web services. Core responsibilities include discovering user needs, coordinating with product leadership on business goals and product strategy, prioritizing daily software engineering work, and releasing quality software into the field. The role offers **high autonomy** in daily tasks, and the lead is also encouraged to contribute directly to the team's engineering work when time permits. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to **interact with operators in Swedish**. A software engineering background is considered beneficial, as is prior experience in software development roles such as Product Manager, Product Owner, or Team Lead. Employers also value an understanding of user-facing applications and infrastructure, along with experience or collaborative familiarity with UX/UI design, user evaluations, and product discovery.
As a Product Lead for the Application and Infrastructure Team you will lead a highly autonomous cross-functional software team responsible for delivering a high quality user experience for both the operators of the harvesters and users of our web services. You will continuously learn from these groups of users and align with internal and external stakeholders to guide the team in their work.
We build a technically advanced product with strong emphasis on software. Therefore we think a software engineering background is beneficial for the role. The role requires good organization skills and user focused mindset. You are encouraged to contribute to the team's daily work when time allows.
Responsibilities
- Understanding what features the users need and making sure they are built accordingly.
- Coordinate with the product leadership team on overall product strategy and business goals.
- Leading the software team in their daily work, helping them prioritize.
- Releasing software with quality and intent to the field
Candidate
Preferably you have some experience with similar roles in software development like Product Manager, Product Owner or Team Lead and have a good understanding of how to build user facing software applications and relevant infrastructure. You are comfortable with leading a team and creating a transparent work culture - including the engineers in design decisions and learnings.
It is beneficial if you have some experience with UX/UI design, user evaluations and product discovery - either directly or through collaboration.
