Stegra Boden AB is looking for a **Reliability Engineer** to support the transition of its plant from construction to stable operations. The role oversees the installation and commissioning of EOT cranes, conductor systems, monorails, and other lifting equipment in collaboration with contractors, OEMs, and internal teams. Responsibilities include preparing maintenance plans and spare parts strategies for operational handover, investigating equipment failures, and using performance data to implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies that minimize downtime. Candidates should have a **degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics**, or a related field, alongside practical experience in installing, commissioning, maintaining, or improving the reliability of industrial lifting equipment. Experience within heavy industry, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance is sought, as is familiarity with reliability methods such as RCA and FMEA and CMMS/EAM platforms like SAP PM, Hexagon, or Maximo. Good communication skills in **English** are required, while proficiency in Swedish is considered an advantage.
As a Reliability Engineer, you'll help take the plant from construction to stable operations. - Oversee the installation and commissioning of EOT cranes, conductor systems, monorails and other lifting equipment.
- Work with contractors, OEMs and internal teams to deliver safe, high-quality installations.
- Prepare maintenance plans, spare parts strategies and documentation to support a smooth handover to operations.
- Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and implement long-term improvements.
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Use maintenance and performance data to improve the reliability, availability and lifetime of cranes and lifting equipment.
What you’ll bring
Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
- Hands-on experience installing, commissioning, maintaining or improving the reliability of cranes or industrial lifting equipment.
- Experience from heavy industry, manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
- Good understanding of crane systems, electrical and mechanical equipment, and relevant industry standards.
- Experience with reliability methods such as RCA, FMEA and preventive or predictive maintenance, as well as CMMS/EAM systems (e.g. SAP PM, Hexagon or Maximo).
- Good English communication skills. Swedish is an advantage.
