SkillHuset Sweden AB is seeking an **SAP Test Lead** to support a large SAP S/4HANA ERP transformation program within the paper and pulp industry. Working as part of the Test Center of Excellence and reporting to the central Test Manager, the role focuses on planning and driving test execution across various phases, starting with user acceptance testing. Key duties include developing comprehensive test plans, leading tester teams, overseeing defect and incident management in coordination with implementation partners, and reporting test progress and risks to stakeholders. Candidates must have proven experience leading testing within a **large complex transformation program**, paired with system implementation background and extensive knowledge of global ERP processes. Mandatory qualifications include documented test management credentials, such as an **ISTQB certification or similar**, hands-on experience with major test management tools, and **fluency in both English and Swedish**. A bachelor’s or master’s degree, direct SAP experience, familiarity with agile methodologies, and background in the process industry are considered advantageous.
About the assignment
We are looking for an experienced Test Lead to join our program test team supporting a large ERP (SAP S/4HANA) transformation in the paper and pulp industry. The Test Lead will drive test planning and execution across test phases, lead teams of testers, manage incidents and defects, and provide communication and training related to testing. The role is part of the Test Center of Excellence and reports to the central Test Manager.Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive test plan with the Test CoE team, including scope, requirements and testing methods.
- Lead teams of testers and monitor test progress, ensuring team members are trained and productive.
- Oversee execution of test cases and coordinate with BPL/SME, solution architects, developers and other stakeholders to prioritize and schedule testing activities.
- Lead and drive test execution in different test phases, initially covering user acceptance testing.
- Oversee defect management: document, track and follow up on issues to ensure timely resolution with the implementation partner and development team.
- Ensure effective communication and regular reporting of testing progress, risks and issues to project stakeholders.
- Provide leadership support and advocacy for test methodology and test data coordination within the Test CoE.
Requirements
Mandatory
- Documented Test management e.g. ISTQB certification or similar education and communication skills
- Bachelor or Master degree in applicable area is preferred
- Proven experience as a leader in managing test in a large complex transformation program
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and different testing methodologies. Advantage of experience in testing in an agile methodology.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end test data quality management.
- Extensive experience and understanding of large global ERP standard system processes and it is an advantage if you have experience with SAP.
- System implementation experience is required, experience in process industry is preferred.
- Excellent documentation skills to maintain clear and concise records of testing activities. This includes writing test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Strong test management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in larger Test management tool.
- Fluency in English and Swedish in both verbal and written.
- Strong leadership and team management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
- Excellent analytical skills and you should have a keen eye for detail and be able to think critically to evaluate the quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills is vital. Be able to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to overcome testing challenges.
- Hands-on problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
