Swedbank is seeking a **SAS Developer** based in Sundbyberg, Stockholm, under **hybrid working conditions**. Working within a collaborative application team, the role focuses on developing, enhancing, and maintaining critical SAS systems and platforms. Key responsibilities include deploying and supporting SAS Viya systems in Azure Cloud, identifying and resolving code issues, optimizing existing workflows, streamlining repetitive tasks through automation, and exploring the potential of AI to drive continuous process improvement. Candidates must have several years of **hands-on SAS development experience**, including specific development experience on the SAS Viya 4 platform. Proficiency in version control using GitHub with GitOps principles and strong communication skills in English are also required. Experience with SQL and Python, a background in banking—particularly with ICAAP and related risk functions—experience as a SAS administrator, and Swedish language proficiency are considered advantageous. What is needed in this role:
- Hands-on experience with SAS development on SAS Viya 4 platform
- Several years of hands-on experience with SAS Development in general
- Experience with identify and resolving code issues and optimizing existing workflows
- Experience with third-party language like SQL & Python is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in version control like GITHub with gitops principals
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing when collaborating with team and business stakeholders (Swedish language proficiency is a plus)
- An interest in automation and streamline repetitive tasks both in SAS and with other technologies
- Being a team player in a collaborative environment with colleagues with different roles and backgrounds
- Working experience as a SAS Administrator and technical understand of the SAS platform is a bonus but not required
- Background in banking, particularly experience with ICAAP and related risk function is an advantage
