Amaris AB is hiring a **Senior Android Developer** for a long-term client project based in **Gothenburg** within the Information System & Digital business line. Working in an agile, cross-functional product team, the developer contributes to a large-scale mobile application deployed across multiple markets. Responsibilities include building native Android features, designing interfaces using Jetpack Compose and XML, integrating with APIs and backend services, and optimizing existing functionalities to support performance, scalability, and seamless digital purchasing journeys. Applicants must have several years of native Android development experience on high-volume applications, alongside strong expertise in **Kotlin and the Android SDK**. Demonstrated experience with Jetpack Compose, XML UI development, backend integrations, and agile workflows is required, along with fluency in English and strong analytical skills. Experience handling digital purchasing flows or similar user journeys is an advantage. Candidates progress through an interview process typically involving an introductory call, around three interviews, and an assessment such as a technical case study.

Job description
Join Amaris Consulting as an Android Developer and contribute to a long-term project with our client in Gothenburg, within the Information System & Digital scope. You will join a product team developing and continuously improving a large-scale mobile application focused on digital customer journeys, purchasing flows, and user experience across several markets.
Your missions
- Develop native Android features using Kotlin and Android SDK.
- Build and improve mobile user interfaces with Jetpack Compose and XML-based UI development.
- Enhance digital customer journeys and purchasing flows within a large-scale mobile application.
- Integrate mobile features with APIs and backend services.
- Maintain and optimize existing Android application features to support performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Contribute to new development initiatives across several markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional product and development teams in an agile environment.
- Analyse technical issues and implement corrective actions to improve the mobile application experience.
Your profile
- Several years of experience in native Android development.
- Experience working on large mobile applications with high user volumes.
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Android SDK.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and XML-based UI development.
- Experience with API integrations and backend services.
- Experience with agile and cross-functional development environments.
- Experience with digital purchasing flows or similar user journeys is a plus.
- English fluent.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with product and technical teams in an international environment.
