Veritaz AB is looking for a **Senior Android Developer** to take ownership of a mature Kotlin-based Android application and drive its continuous modernization. The role centers on managing application stability, performance, releases, and architectural improvements while continuing a migration from XML to Jetpack Compose. Responsibilities also include integrating native advertising into the Compose lifecycle, contributing to a **shared Kotlin Multiplatform codebase** in close collaboration with the iOS team, documenting architectural decisions, and eventually handing over knowledge to a permanent team member. Applicants must have at least **5+ years of professional Android development experience** alongside strong hands-on expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Practical experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), mobile release processes, performance optimization, and modern architectures like MVVM or Clean Architecture is required, as is a background maintaining production applications with active users. Experience migrating large-scale applications from XML to Jetpack Compose, integrating advertising SDKs such as Xandr, handling analytics and consent management platforms, using AI-assisted coding workflows, or collaborating with iOS teams on shared architecture is considered meritorious.

Assignment Description
We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to take ownership of a mature Kotlin-based Android application and continue its modernization journey.
The role focuses on Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), with responsibility for application stability, performance, releases and ongoing architectural improvements. You will work closely with the iOS team on the shared KMP codebase while maintaining a fully native Android experience.
What You Will Work On
- Take ownership of the Android application through a structured handover
