Majority Sweden AB is hiring a **Senior Backend Developer** for a full-time position based at its office in Stockholm. Working on an all-in-one financial services app focused on migrants, backend engineers build and maintain real-time money movement systems, including card authorizations, risk decisions, and balance updates. The platform relies on event-driven C# microservices running on Kubernetes. Developers take end-to-end ownership from initial design to production support, engaging in CI/CD, pair programming, automated testing, and partner integrations. The role follows a **hybrid work model**, allowing up to two days of remote work per week. Candidates must have a track record of building, shipping, and supporting **scaled microservices and event-based systems** in production. Solid expertise in distributed systems reliability—such as idempotency, retries, message ordering, and eventual consistency—along with higher-level architectural design skills and excellent English communication are required. Desirable qualifications include experience with C#, Kubernetes, SQL, payment platforms, FinTech, banking, or security. A degree in computer science and familiarity with AI development tools like Claude or Codex are also advantageous.

MAJORITY is looking for a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our Backend team. This is a full time, hybrid position based at our office in Stockholm, Sweden. Developers may work from home up to 2 days a week.

Basic Requirements
- Experience building and running microservices and event-based systems in production, at scale
- A track record of shipping real systems and supporting them in production
- Solid understanding of distributed systems reliability: idempotency, retries, ordering and eventual consistency
- Good understanding of higher level architecture and design
- Excellent communication skills in English
Ideal candidate
- Experience with C#, Kubernetes and SQL, or similar
- Experience with payment platforms, FinTech, Banking or security
- Experience working with a growing team on evolving products with many users
- Experience building new products with an eye on maintainability and scalability
- Vision for product development and for how a code base evolves
- Uses AI tools like Claude or Codex in daily work
- Happy hacking on new technology, loves R&D
- A degree in computer science
