Anyfin AB is seeking a **Senior Cloud Engineer** based in Stockholm to support its scaling consumer finance platform following its acquisition of a banking license. Working within a small engineering team, the role involves designing, deploying, and operating cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as building, optimizing, and scaling backend systems using Node.js and PostgreSQL. The position contributes directly to system architecture to ensure the reliability and maintainability of financial systems, collaborates with cross-functional teams on product direction, and embeds AI tools into daily engineering workflows to maintain high development velocity. Applicants must hold **EU work authorization** and bring at least five years of professional experience, ideally within high-stakes environments such as finance. The role requires a strong background in **cloud infrastructure and backend development** using Node.js and SQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL), alongside experience designing, deploying, and monitoring solutions on major cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure. Familiarity with system design and architecture is essential, while experience with React, Python, Go, GraphQL, Kubernetes, or DevOps with GitHub Actions is considered an advantage.

What you’ll do
- Designing, deploying and operating cloud infrastructure and services on GCP to support scalable and reliable systems.
- Building, optimizing and scaling backend systems with a cloud-first mindset, using Node.js and SQL (Postgres).
- Contributing to system architecture to ensure cloud scalability, reliability and maintainability of financial systems.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to shape both product direction and business strategy.
- Sharing cloud and infrastructure expertise with the team while promoting best practices.
Our main stack is TypeScript, Node.js, React, React Native running on Google Cloud Platform.

- At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in high-stakes environments like finance.
- Passionate about solving complex backend and cloud problems with clean, pragmatic solutions.
- Solid understanding of system design and architecture.
- Bonus if you’ve worked with React, Python, Go, GraphQL, Kubernetes, or DevOps with Github Actions.
