Daily responsibilities include using SQL and DDL across BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform, investigating and resolving data discrepancies, and collaborating closely with source-system owners, architects, project managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements. Applicants must have senior-level experience in data engineering or data quality, paired with proven expertise in information and data modelling. Technical requirements include strong SQL and DDL abilities, practical experience with **BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform**, and a solid understanding of master and reference data concepts. Fluency in both spoken and written Swedish is required. Prior experience with Master Data Management, data governance frameworks, large enterprise environments, complex product hierarchies, and cross-system coordination is considered advantageous.
Assignment Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to ensure that accurate, structured and high-quality source data is available for the platform and downstream analytics.
The role focuses on data modelling, master data validation and data quality, with hands-on experience in SQL, DDL, BigQuery, PostgreSQL and Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with source-system owners, master data stakeholders, business teams and IT.
What You Will Work On
- Ensure source data is correctly structured, modelled and validated
- Validate master data and reference data
- Ensure data quality for items, hierarchies, market data, prices and related datasets
- Develop and maintain data models and information models
- Work with SQL and DDL
- Work with BigQuery, PostgreSQL and Google Cloud Platform
- Coordinate with source-system owners and master data owners
- Investigate and resolve data-quality issues
- Collaborate with project managers, testers, product owners, developers, solution architects and integration teams
- Identify unclear requirements and proactively raise data-related issues
