Veritaz is seeking a **Senior Data Engineer** to ensure that accurate, structured, and high-quality source data is available for downstream analytics and platforms. The core work centres on **data modelling and master data validation**, developing information models, and maintaining data quality across items, hierarchies, market data, and pricing. Daily tasks involve hands-on work with SQL and DDL, utilizing Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and PostgreSQL, as well as troubleshooting data-quality issues. The position requires close collaboration across technical and business functions, coordinating directly with source-system owners, master data stakeholders, solution architects, product owners, and developers. Candidates must bring senior-level experience in data engineering or data quality, demonstrated expertise in information and data modelling, and strong practical skills in SQL and DDL. Working knowledge of **Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and PostgreSQL** is required, alongside a solid grasp of master data, reference data, and data quality principles. Applicants need **fluent Swedish**, both spoken and written, combined with strong analytical, independent problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills. Additional background in Master Data Management (MDM), data governance processes, large enterprise data environments, or complex product hierarchies is considered an asset.

The role focuses on data modelling, master data validation and data quality, with hands-on experience in SQL, DDL, BigQuery, PostgreSQL and Google Cloud Platform. You will work closely with source-system owners, master data stakeholders, business teams and IT.
What You Will Work On
- Ensure source data is correctly structured, modelled and validated
- Validate master data and reference data
- Ensure data quality for items, hierarchies, market data, prices and related datasets
- Develop and maintain data models and information models
- Work with SQL and DDL
- Work with BigQuery, PostgreSQL and Google Cloud Platform
- Coordinate with source-system owners and master data owners
- Investigate and resolve data-quality issues
- Collaborate with project managers, testers, product owners, developers, solution architects and integration teams
- Identify unclear requirements and proactively raise data-related issues
