About the Role
Hykmann Global Business Solutions AB is looking for an experienced Senior Digital Designer to contribute to the development of advanced electronic hardware and printed circuit board (PCB) solutions for civilian technology applications.
You will be involved throughout the hardware development lifecycle, from concept studies and architectural design to detailed circuit design, simulation, laboratory testing and product integration.
The role offers an opportunity to work with modern electronic design tools, develop innovative hardware solutions and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct concept studies and evaluate future electronic solutions, design methodologies and hardware architectures.
- Participate in requirements analysis, breakdown and technical specification of electronic systems.
- Develop detailed digital hardware designs and circuit-board solutions.
- Perform circuit simulations and component selection to ensure design performance and reliability.
- Create and review circuit schematics and PCB design documentation.
- Prepare, review and maintain technical documentation for manufacturing and production.
- Perform laboratory testing and verification of electronic hardware performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware-related issues and provide technical support during product integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve design and integration challenges.
- Maintain project schedules while ensuring high-quality, reliable and cost-effective design solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in digital hardware design and electronic circuit development.
- Practical experience in PCB development and circuit-board design.
- Understanding of electronic design processes, hardware architectures and component selection.
- Experience in circuit simulation and schematic design.
- Ability to analyse technical requirements and translate them into hardware solutions.
- Experience with laboratory testing, verification and hardware troubleshooting.
- Ability to prepare and review technical and production documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within engineering teams.
Preferred Tools & Technologies
Experience with the following tools will be highly advantageous:
- Cadence – Electronic design automation and schematic development.
- HyperLynx – Signal integrity and PCB simulation.
- MATLAB – Engineering analysis, modelling and simulation.
