The role focuses on developing exterior component and lighting concepts, creating front and rear lighting signatures, illuminated features, and integrated exterior details. Responsibilities include translating 2D concepts into high-quality 3D solutions while balancing creative intent with manufacturing requirements, technical feasibility, and brand identity. Working closely with Studio Engineering, Vehicle Architecture, exterior design colleagues, suppliers, and **China-based stakeholders**, the position also supports design reviews, presentations, prototype evaluations, and ongoing production development activities. Candidates must have at least five years of automotive exterior design experience, alongside proven experience in exterior components, automotive lighting design, or both. Applicants need a strong portfolio showing design development from concept to production, gained within OEMs, automotive design studios, or consultancies. A solid grasp of vehicle exterior design, lighting graphics, materials, and production constraints is required, alongside the ability to work independently, contribute immediately to active programs, and communicate with **fluent English** skills.

Job Description / Key Responsibilities
- Develop exterior component and lighting concepts for production and advanced vehicle programs.
- Create distinctive front and rear lighting signatures, illuminated features, and integrated exterior details.
- Translate 2D design concepts into high-quality 3D solutions.
- Collaborate with Exterior Design, Studio Engineering, Vehicle Architecture, suppliers, and China-based stakeholders.
- Ensure design proposals balance creativity, technical feasibility, manufacturing requirements, and brand identity.
- Support design reviews, presentations, prototype evaluations, and production development activities.
Required qualification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in automotive exterior design.
- Proven experience in exterior components and/or automotive lighting design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design development from concept to production.
- Experience working within OEMs, automotive design studios, or consultancy environments.
- Excellent understanding of vehicle exterior design, lighting graphics, materials, and production constraints.
- Ability to work independently and contribute immediately to active vehicle programs.
- Fluent English communication skills
