Qlose Recruitment & Consulting AB is recruiting a **Senior Frontend Developer - React & TypeScript** for a long-term consultancy assignment with a client in Malmö. Employed by Qlose, the developer will work **on-site in Malmö** within an autonomous engineering team at an international technology firm. Core duties involve designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications and complex single-page applications. Responsibilities also include optimizing rendering performance and state management, integrating applications with REST APIs, participating in code reviews and architectural decisions, and writing maintainable code supported by automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. Candidates should have approximately five or more years of professional front-end development experience or equivalent practical expertise. Essential qualifications include strong knowledge of **JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and modern CSS**, alongside expertise in browser behaviour, asynchronous programming, and REST API integration. Candidates must possess a good eye for UI/UX accessibility and usability, sound debugging skills, and professional proficiency in written and spoken English. Experience with WebAssembly, WebGPU, Canvas, browser security models, back-end Java development, or high-reliability applications is considered an advantageous plus.

What will you do?
As a Front-end Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining modern web applications, working closely with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Build intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces with a strong focus on user experience.
- Develop and optimize complex single-page applications (SPAs), including state management and data-intensive views.
- Improve application performance through techniques such as code splitting, lazy loading, and rendering optimization.
- Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs, ensuring reliable handling of latency, errors, and incomplete data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
- Take ownership of features throughout the development lifecycle, from initial design to production.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to automated testing and CI/CD processes.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
You'll work with technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, modern CSS, Docker, and GitHub.

- Proven experience developing and maintaining complex single-page applications.
- Experience with state management and performance optimization in data-heavy applications.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and front-end integration.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and modern development workflows.
- A good eye for UI/UX design, usability, and accessibility.
- Experience debugging complex issues across browsers, devices, and network conditions.
- The ability to break down complex requirements into manageable deliverables.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
It's an extra plus if you have experience with:
- Modern web technologies such as WebAssembly (WASM), WebGPU, or Canvas.
- Browser security models and web platform capabilities.
- Back-end development, particularly Java.
- Building applications where performance, reliability, and data privacy are essential.
